Udeu's parents received a prophecy from the village sage that they must immediately kill any child they bear. Unable to resist their curiosity, they eventually laid eyes on the child. However, horrified by the grotesque appearance of the child, who resembled a hybrid of ancient animals, Udeu's parents died from the shock. As Udeu grew older, consumed by guilt for being directly responsible for his parents' deaths, he volunteered for Weidete's Skurami division, becoming a soldier for Hakan in Weidete.
