It's known that to reach the Real Tower of Darkness where Hakan resides, one must pass through Fake Towers of Darkness masquerading as the real one. However, no one has returned alive to confirm even the existence of this tower. The Dark Emperor, Hakan, exerts his influence not only over Weidete but also over Hellmarshians through the "Black Spider" web, which records the history of the continents supported by the World Tree Silbadu and the destinies of its people. Among the various tales surrounding his existence, the most convincing one suggests that Hakan is the darkness itself, coalesced with Rubal, the king of humans who disappeared during the Iron Age. Ironically, the Dark Emperor Hakan, clad in a black skeletal armor, was once Rubal, the king of humans who opposed Rabellu. In his closet, human flesh is preserved as captives, and the dried, twisted leather of women's skins hangs on hooks attached to the walls. His form appears as if he has sucked everything inside the leather through his mouth, maintaining the outer appearance while shrivelling like a deflated balloon. This is because, before Haken embodied Rubal physically, he was an entity like plasma, coalesced only in spirit, as the sorcerer Morgan. He parasitized within the bodies of others or creatures of nature as needed. What makes the Real Tower of Darkness even more terrifying is the presence of the Throne's Sword and the Throne's Armor.
